The Stay

Welcome to Hineni House - our destination for the weekend with three bedrooms, warmly decorated interiors and walking distance to downtown Holland.

Nestled along the shores of Lake Michigan, this charming Holland cottage invites guests to experience the timeless elegance of a classic summer retreat. Perfectly situated just minutes from Holland's beloved boutiques, artisan coffee shops, waterfront restaurants, and sandy beaches, the home offers an idyllic setting for leisurely mornings and golden evenings by the lake. Holland State Park is less than eight miles away, while the coastal towns of Saugatuck and Grand Haven are an easy scenic drive, with Grand Rapids just beyond—placing the very best of West Michigan at your doorstep.

Lovingly restored from its 1940s origins, the home blends historic character with thoughtful modern comforts. Sunlight pours through generous windows, illuminating inviting living spaces designed for both gathering and quiet repose. The well-appointed kitchen features stainless steel appliances and everything needed for unhurried meals, while the adjoining dining room comfortably welcomes six around the table. A cozy den and elegant living room, each with entertainment amenities, offer welcoming spaces to unwind after a day spent along the shoreline.

Upstairs, shiplap walls, vaulted ceilings, and tucked-away alcoves evoke the romance of a traditional lakeside cottage. The primary suite features a king-sized bed, while the additional bedroom offers a double bed and extra sleeping accommodations, ensuring restful comfort for family and friends alike. The upstairs bath is a peaceful retreat, complete with dual vanities and an expansive walk-in shower.

Guests enjoy exclusive access to the home's upper and main levels, along with a convenient laundry area in the basement. Outside, a spacious private lawn provides a quintessential setting for summer afternoons, complete with a gas grill, picnic table, and a nostalgic tire swing. Beyond the garden lies a neighborhood park with a playground, volleyball court, and basketball hoops—close enough for convenience, yet discreetly tucked away to preserve the peaceful atmosphere of the property.

Whether your days are spent exploring charming coastal towns, wandering the shoreline, or simply savoring slow mornings on the lawn, this cottage offers a graceful escape where every stay feels like a cherished summer tradition.
